I really like the trailer for the iPad book. It looks like a fantastic secret world with los of adventures to discover. I think this book is not only for children but also for grown-ups who want to feel like a child again, captured in a dream world. I like the many possibilites the reader has to interact with the iBook.
The author of this app is William Joyce who has created character designs for some Pixar, Dreamworks and Disney animated movies before. He created this app together with the Moonbot Studios.

Alright, most of you have already seen it – the iPad
But after the release of the ‘revolutionary’ device, as Steve Jobs called it, I tried to figure out the drawbacks.
First of all no multitasking is possible. So you cannot have your email open at the same time as your browser. Second, no camera is integrated, so no video iChat is possible. The iPad has furthermore no HDMI out to watch HD videos you have downloaded on your TV (except you already have an Apple TV). Still no flash is annoying and if you want to plug anything in the iPad you need an adapter, even for USB. And last bot not least, the Apple iPad only runs apps from the Apple store.
If you already have a netbook and an iPod Touch or an iPhone, why would you want to pay 499 dollar for an iPad? The ultimate goal was to close the gap between smartphones and laptops, but for me this iPad is unhandy and I think you can better save the money and wait for other revolutionary devices. So for me the iPad is a no-go. What do you think?
