I have just been to the signature session of Christina Aguilera in the Medienbrücke in Munich. She is in Munich since yesterday for a press conference to promote her new fragrance Royal Desire.
Today a limited number of people was allowed to see her live and get an autograph directly from here. So here are some impressions and excuse the bad quality sometimes but everything happened real fast.
I have been a few times to the Wu Wei now and I always enjoyed it. The food is really good, the drinks are nice and the interior design is worth a visit. This newly opened restaurant is situated in the south of Munich, in Sendling.
It belongs to the Frenzy Family, which consits of the Frenzy situated in the Fraunhoferstraße 20 and the Wu Wei, situated in the Lindwurmstraße 205.
Last time when I was there with friends I had a salad with goat cheese and honey. It was simply delicious!!

Overall the colour purple dominates the restaurant. The lampshades are black and white prints of people’s faces and the furniture is a mixture of old wooden chairs and desks, mainly second hand. What I really like about this location are the high art nouveau ceilings.
Wu Wei Munich.
The prices are good for the food you get and they have a daily changing menu besides their standard menu. They also have a cocktail bar and the cocktails cost about 6,90 – 7,80 Euro.

So if you are curious about this place now, have a look yourself! And considering this beautiful weather, they also have places outside to enjoy the sun. B&T
If you ever come to Munich or live in Munich, visiting the Aroma Kaffeebar is a must!
Aroma Kaffeebar Website
I have been there many times with friends and had a wonderful time. That´s why I am writing about it, to spread the word!
The location is beautiful and serves as a shop, as well as a coffee bar to sit and relax.
Aroma Kaffebar Munich
You can buy organic cheese and sausage at the counter, to take this delicious food home with you and enjoy it. Furthermore you can buy many other things in the little shop they have within the bar. For some this is the perfect place to get a last minute birthday present.
Aroma Kaffeebar
The food at Aroma Kaffeebar is organic and the cake is handmade.
Aroma Kaffeebar Cake
They have always different sorts of cake there, so it never gets boring to go there and grab some. The coffee and tea at Aroma Kaffeebar is also lovely and you should definitely try the breakfast.
Aroma Kaffeebar
Overall I can only say that I really like the atmosphere in the bar. The audience is mixed up, from young to old and everybody seems to feel comfortable there. The only thing – which happens sooner or later to all the good places – is that it gets quite crowded at the weekends and you should come early to get a good place. In the summer you can also sit in front of the bar or on the sill.
Aroma Kaffeebar
It simply is a lovely place and I would not write a post about it if I would not mean it.
The Aroma Kaffeebar is situated in the Glockenbachviertel, which is a well known lovely quarter in Munich and also worth a visit.
I guess since the song Rise (which is one of my favourite songs) was released on the Ministry of Sound Club Files 7 release in 2009, you might have heard of them. This year they entered the German sales charts with a new mix of the song “Everybody dance now“. Here is the official video:
On the 31st of May, they released their new single ”Upside Down“.
playing in clubs in Brazil, the U.S., France, Korea, Thailand, Russia, China, Brasil and made their last but one stop in Germany, Munich, at the 8 seasons club. I was there on Saturday and I must say the party was a blast! I know the guys for a while now, from the time back when I used to live in Dortmund and they played at the 3001 club in Düsseldorf or in the Triple A club in Cologne. The party on Saturday was definitely the best I have seen from Plastik Funk so far! The crowd was singing, dancing and Rafael and Mikio really had fun. One thing that hasn´t changed in fact since then is, that they are still the nice guys from Düsseldorf, although they have gained popularity and played in numerous clubs around the world.
If you are now curious about these guys and want to now more, visit their homepage, facebook account or just listen to their music on Soundcloud. In any case…Enjoy!
Germany´s next Topmodel is Jana Meller, the 20 year old girl from Haltern. After month of competition she won the fight against fifty other girls. Although my favourite was Amelie, but I guess with 16 years she was too young to be the number one yet. These are the three finalists:
Jana / Rebecca / Amelie
One of the highlights of the show yesterday was the performance of Lady Gaga, singing one of the songs from her album “Born this way”. I like her excentric way of acting on stage and doing what she likes. Her emphasis was yesterday definitely on her fans and the interview was a minor matter.
So here are some of the “best of pictures” of Jana:
After a long time of not posting anything – and finally getting a new laptop as my old one got broke (yes, I am Mac addicted either now) – I am back again with one of my favourite songs at the moment. Although its is an old song, I still like it a lot and it always puts me in a good mood.
Futhermore the champagne producer Tarlant named a Cuvée “Discobitch” after the great success of the song in France. So just listen to the song and get addicted. And if you know some similar great french electro songs, just let me know.
If you want to have it, here is the direct link to the itunes store.
Lena Meyer-Landrut, the 19 year old girl from Hannover, did it. I think because of the way she is, she won the contest. She does not take herself too serious and behaves just like any other crazy 19 year old girl. In my opinion she is funny, good looking, self confident and she sings with a great british accent. I like the way she represents Germany because the traditional eurovision song contest was for me about classic or traditional music and not about pop music. I never used to watch the contest but yesterday I did (at least the end).
I would say…well done for a 19 year old girl. To have the strength to stand there and sing and know that million people are watching her. I think I would have been too nervous to even speak.
I do not know whethere she will be able to start an international career or not. There are lot of great singers out there. Let´s see…
What do you think? Will Lena be able to start an international career? Just tick the box for my little poll. Thank you!
After lots of final exams and my move from London back to Gemany, I finally have time to concentrate on blogging again. I spent a few days in Dortmund over Christmas, spent New Year in Hamburg with friends and went afterwards to Celle to visit my boyfriend´s family. Now I am in Munich and enjoying my free time before I start to write my dissertation.
As I am still a student and London was quite expensive, I worked the last three days at the munichfabricstart which “is the biannual central meeting point of Germany’s fashion industry“. The exhibition was in the M,O,C which is located in the northern part of Munich called Freimann. I must say that I really liked this fair venue. Compared to other fair venues in Germany, which I have seen, this was the most beautiful one with a really nice design.
The exhibition informed about the newest trends in accessories, fabric novelties and yarn. The innovations for the autumn and winter 09/10 and summer and spring 10, which were given insights in trend lectures, are published on the munichfabricstart website or will be published soon after the tradeshow. For those who are interested in the upcoming trends of the fashion industry just have a look: http://www.munichfabricstart.com/Trends.html
